Substance Abuse Counselor

Location: Baltimore, MD 21206 Our clients is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in the Baltimore area. Must be licensed in Maryland as ADT or CAC-AD or CSC-AD HOURS Full-time or Part-time ALL SCHEDULES AVAILABLE Immediate Start Competitive Compensation SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY Facilitate behavioral health treatment groups. Email Office Manager attendance after each group. Provide individual sessions for clients on a case-by-case basis when clients need extra support. Complete Biopsychosocial assessments and all documentation pertaining to it. Document client attendance, group topic, and client participation in file after each group. Complete documentation within 24 hours of services provided. Document any other contact with client or case management done, such as individual sessions or outside referrals. Complete all discharge paperwork within seven days of the date of discharge. Address urinalysis or breathalyzer results with clients as needed and record results in Electronic Health Record (EHR) and on monthly reports. Review and update treatment plans in compliance with timeframes set by ADI policy. Provide person-centered treatment which tailors treatment to each client's individual needs. Provide culturally competent treatment and case management. CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Maryland license as a CAC-AD; or CSC-AD; with the State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related field.
