Job Description
- Preparing Prescriptions : Accurately measure, count, and package tablets, liquids, and creams into containers with correct labels.
- Data Entry and Processing : Enter and update patient profiles , prescription details, and insurance information into computer software.
- Customer Service : Greet customers, answer phones , and hand out finished prescriptions at the pickup counter or cash register.
- Insurance and Billing : Communicate with insurance companies to resolve rejected claims, manage billing, and submit prior authorizations.
- Inventory Management : Restock shelves, check stock levels , order new drugs, and remove expired medications.
- Communication : Call doctors' offices to request prescription refills or clarify order details.
