Job Summary The Manager, Total Rewards supports the Managing Director of Human Resources by designing, developing, implementing, and administering Casey’s total rewards (compensation and benefits) plans. The role ensures programs are externally competitive, internally equitable, and fully compliant with regulations. Responsibilities Oversee the end‑to‑end administration of leave of absence (LOA) programs and the interactive accommodation process, ensuring full compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state‑specific regulations while delivering a supportive employee and manager experience. Manage vendor relationships, benefit plan administration, and contracts. Ensure plans are aligned with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed, participating in revisions and reviews of plan documents and summary plan descriptions. Develop and provide benefit orientations; implement new benefit programs; arrange employee presentations; and coordinate benefits open enrollment. Create communication tools to enhance understanding of the benefit package. Perform internal and external competitive market pay research and analysis. Recommend salary ranges, job levels, and job classification. Participate in the design, modification, administration, and maintenance of all base and incentive pay programs. Participate in compensation and benefit surveys to collect and analyze benchmark information. May develop ad hoc surveys as needed. Apply sound compensation and benefit theory in the development of competitive programs based on relevant local market surveys, competitive environment, economic trends, and local HR input to aid in recruiting and retention. Provide coaching to managers and HR staff on compensation and benefit matters. Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve related issues. Counsel on the interpretation of compensation and benefit programs on a case‑by‑case basis. Provide analytical and technical support for the rewards programs. Prepare periodic and special reports for management, including benefits reports, annual headcount, and other assigned reports. Serve as the project manager for annual benefits plan audits. Collaborate with Finance, auditing agencies, HR members, and external vendors to collect and disseminate information, ensuring proper administration and documentation of plans. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field; minimum five years of experience administering employee total rewards plans. Experience administering self‑insured medical plans and defined contribution plans (e.g., 401(k)) is required. HR certifications and/or CEBS designation preferred. Extensive knowledge of insurance regulations, plan design, third‑party record keeping, and plan administration. Familiarity with COBRA, ADA, ERISA, FMLA, and related regulations. Strong analytical, interpretive, and reporting skills; high proficiency in Excel and HRIS software. Ability to perform effectively in a high‑pressure, stressful environment; manage stress and self‑care. Ability to work onsite full‑time and maintain reliable attendance. Physical capacity to lift light objects, type, and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information. Local travel and occasional out‑of‑town travel may be required; use of personal vehicle permissible with adherence to safety guidelines and insurance requirements. Opportunities for learning, training, and development. Compensation The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $110,500 to $149,500.
