MRI Technologist

MRI TechnologistAs the MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Ensures effective communication with customers, including radiologists, as necessary. In some instances, it trains new technologists and/or patient coordinators.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.Produces high quality diagnostic images.Orders supply, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.Trains new technologists and/or PCs.Education and Related Experience:Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent ExperienceRegistered with ARRT.State license, if applicable.BLS CertificationTechnologists registered in other modalities — 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.MR registered technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT — No experience required.Strong customer service skills.Organizational and multitasking skills.Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.Preferred:Associate's degree or Equivalent ExperienceRegistry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
