CNC Operator (Recentering) - Grinding - 3rd Shift Eureka, Missouri, United States PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Grinds rotary tooling to specification per work instructions. Sets blade clearance per specifications per work instructions on both manual and CNC equipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up indication and grinding of rotary tooling Double checks clearance on roll tag Compares order form to work instructions to ensure clearance and proper roll is selected. Informs department lead of all problems, crashes, or issues with the machine. Sweep and clean area around machine. Prioritize work according to leads instructions. Grind flats in roll when needed. Maintains grinding wheel. Maintain tooling supply. Wear proper PPE while in work areas of the shop. Able to measure bearer diameter with micrometer to determine taper as well as clearance. Other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to prioritize effectively. Ability to assimilate and retain quickly a variety of information concerning company organization, policy and products. Proficient skill level simple mathematics Know how to use micrometers and calipers. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Ability to work with supervision to realize company goals. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent.
