CNC Setup Technician / CNC Programmer Machinist

Our client, a leader in the fuel dispensing industry, is seeking a skilled CNC Setup Technician / CNC Programmer Machinist to join their team in a clean, heated, and air-conditioned manufacturing environment. Training will be conducted on 1st shift. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components according to engineering specifications and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment including Mazatrol-controlled machines.
• Perform CNC programming and CAM programming to optimize machining processes and productivity.
• Operate manual machines and assist with tooling setup and adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect and approve parts using applicable gauges, bore gauges, CMMs, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify parts to print using computer-generated test criteria and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass machinability test.
• Prior experience setting up and operating CNC machines required.
• Mazatrol programming and setup experience is required.
• Experience with turning and horizontal machining preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, machining processes, and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with CMM operation and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAM programming is a plus.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attendance and reliability required.

• Pay range: $36.00–$40.00/hour based on experience
