Family Nurse Practitioner We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult patients. This role involves conducting thorough patient assessments, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The Family Nurse Practitioner will utilize advanced clinical skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, and assisted living facilities. Candidates with experience in critical care, gastroenterology, behavioral health, or post-acute care are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities Perform detailed physical examinations and health assessments to establish accurate diagnoses. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines. Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Administer medications and injections, including botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers when appropriate. Conduct procedures such as suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management. Coordinate with specialists for complex cases involving ICU or trauma center experiences or infectious disease care. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support remote patient management. Assist in medical documentation compliance with HIPAA regulations and CPT coding standards. Engage in patient education on topics such as nutrition, family planning, memory care, and disease prevention. Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes. Support discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes for inpatient or outpatient services. Qualifications Valid Family Nurse Practitioner certification with current licensure in the practicing state. Proven experience in primary care settings with proficiency in medical office operations. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, or senior care. Experience working with diverse populations including children, elderly patients in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is advantageous. Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards and CPT coding for billing purposes. Background in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center preferred. Skills in performing procedures like dermal fillers, spinal taps, sonography, or gastrostomy tube feeding are desirable. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and sterile techniques necessary for safe practice.
