Circulates, scrubs using aseptic or sterile technique, monitors and documents hemodynamics and patient events during procedure to provide quality patient care for patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab/Hybrid OR. Utilization and management of digital x-ray equipment and archiving system./ph3Duties Responsibilities/h3ulliProvides primary care for patients during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure./liliAbility to see, hear, and respond to physical emergencies in an expedient manner./liliAssists physicians by scrubbing for invasive vascular and cardiac catheterization services for adult patients using approved protocols./liliMust be able to work closely with physicians and assist with complex procedures./liliOperates radiographic equipment and assures storage of all catheterization images from a variety of equipment./liliUnderstands and anticipates for patient needs and supply needs based on the procedure and diagnosis./liliMust have exceptional knowledge of patient anatomy./li/ulh3Education/Qualifications/h3pCath Lab Tech I:/pulliCurrently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program and in good standing./liliMust possess or obtain within 3 months current BLS./liliMust be within 4 months of graduation./liliMust obtain licensure (RCIS/ARRT) and SCRQSA within 6 months of hire. If RCIS must obtain LLR licensing immediately following RCIS licensure./liliMust obtain ACLS within 1 year of hire/li/ulpCath Lab Tech II:/pulliGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program/liliMust possess a current ARRT or RCIS Certification. SCRQSA required within 30 days of hire./liliMust maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); or obtain ACLS withing one year of hire to progress to Cath Lab Tech III/liliIf RCIS, must register with the SC LLR and keep current cert./liliPass Rhythms Class within 6 months of hire./liliClinical experience or instruction in vascular/interventional radiography and experience in a cardiac laboratory preferred/liliAbility to operate radiographic equipment and produce quality radiographs and store and retrieve the images is required/li/ulpCath Lab Tech III:/pulliGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program/liliMust possess a current ARRT or RCIS Certification.
