You'll read blueprints, run your setup, and deliver consistent accuracy that keeps production running smoothly. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Hands‑on experience with conventional machining and lathe operations Basic knowledge of surface grinding equipment Ability to read measurements and perform math conversions (fractions/decimals) Strong attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills Experience reading production/shop orders Proficiency with precision measurement instruments Exposure to Lean manufacturing / 5S environments Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and communication Job Duties Reading and interpreting blueprints and job orders (dimensions, tolerances, tooling specs) Performing machine setup adjustments, tool positioning, and cycle control Loading bar stock, securing collets/bushings, and managing feed mechanisms Conducting in-process inspections using gauges, precision tools, and CMM equipment Reviewing CMM reports and making CNC offsets or basic program adjustments for tool wear and drift Performing tool maintenance, including sharpening/grinding form and shave tools Executing preventive maintenance tasks (lubrication, greasing, minor repairs) Tracking production activity, completions, and scrap in the system Supporting 6S / lean manufacturing practices and maintaining a clean, safe work environment Benefits Solid weekly pay, no waiting games.
