Staff Pharmacist in O Fallon, IL

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This pharmacy role is suited for a Staff Pharmacist experienced in retail operations, seeking ongoing contract work of 24-30 hours per week. The position involves working within pharmacy hours to ensure quality dispensing and patient counseling in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule/Hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Sunday: Emergency orders only; on-call pay of $8/hour from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately fill, check, and verify prescriptions following pharmacy protocols
Provide counseling to patients regarding medication usage and safety
Handle emergency orders on Sundays when on-call
Maintain compliance with all pharmacy and regulatory guidelines

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Illinois Pharmacy License required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
