Actuarial Analyst

Role Description

Responsible for supporting Actuarial Management.

The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role; additional duties may be assigned:

• Support and analyze activities related to the Direct Pay, Local Group and National Accounts Market Segments and all lines of business.
• Increase knowledge of actuarial science and insurance theory & practice, progressing to the FSA designation.
• Rate analysis and development.
• Forecast/variance analysis and reporting.
• Claim trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Related Bachelor's degree required in Math/Statistics or related degree.
• Completion of one or more of the examinations from the Society of Actuaries.

Requirements

• Background in health field or insurance field.
• Previous Actuarial experience or internship in an Actuarial area.
• SAS, R and/or SQL experience.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Familiarity with programming languages and PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors).
• Completion of college-level courses on micro and macroeconomics, introductory corporate finance, and applied statistical methods.

Annualized Salary Range: $71,200 - $115,700

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $71,200 - $89,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
