Whether you're an experienced CT Technologist or a new graduate ready to train, you'll find the support and technology to thrive.In this role, you'll serve both UPMC Shadyside's main CT department and the Hillman Cancer Center, playing a key role in providing exceptional care and diagnostic precision for our patients.Why You'll Love It Here:Work alongside skilled technologists and physicians in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.Exposure to diverse cases across two leading UPMC facilities.Opportunities to train, grow, and advance your imaging career.What You'll Do:Perform CT procedures using advanced imaging technology and established scan protocols, including contrast administration.Review patient histories, assess orders, and document procedures accurately in the electronic record.Operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment, ensuring all exams are properly coded, archived, and billed.Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders while assessing patients for risk factors.Demonstrate sound judgment in adjusting protocols and applying ionizing radiation safely and effectively.Provide compassionate care—communicating clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient dignity at all times.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired.CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.CPR or BLS Required.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.ARRT RadiographyAct 34UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
