School Psychologist in Wilmington, DE

ProCare Therapy

Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity for the 26/27 school year supporting high school students as a School Psychologist. This contract position is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week, and sits within a district recognized for a collaborative and positive team culture—current psychologists genuinely enjoy their work environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high school setting, effectively balancing assessment, counseling, and consultative responsibilities, while being open to either onsite or a flexible hybrid arrangement (onsite candidates strongly preferred).

Qualifications:

Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
Current license or eligibility to work as a School Psychologist
Experience with high school caseloads preferred
Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and case management
Ability to collaborate with multiple school psychologists and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfort with electronic documentation and IEP systems

Responsibilities:

Provide psychological evaluations, risk assessments, and direct counseling services
Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development
Assist in creating and updating IEPs, participating in eligibility and planning meetings
Maintain detailed records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Support crisis intervention efforts and prevention programming
Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs

Benefits include working alongside a supportive group of fellow school psychologists in a district with a strong camaraderie and positive reputation. Flexible options may be considered for proven professionals who require some remote days.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic high school environment and join a district where psychologists flourish, submit your application today for consideration!
