Quality Inspector Job Summary:


We are looking to fill a Quality Inspector at a global contract manufacturer for medical devices in Kentwood, MI. They make precision drill bits, screws, cutting tools, and other complex medical tools. This company views all of its employees as vital members of the team to ensure the company's growth. Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

• Perform product / material testing and inspections
• Contribute support for CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) activities
• Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects
• Perform testing, gather and record data, analyze results, and report product and in-process monitoring test results
• Assist during audit activities. Assist with calibration and maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain data files and forms
• Initiate and assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials
• Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all quality assurance activities have been performed and approved
• Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities. Communicate with a wide variety of personnel in and across Manufacturing and Quality Teams

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st Shift 6:00am-4:00pm Monday- Friday
• $18.00-$20.00/HR commensurate with experience

Quality Inspector Qualifications:

• Must be self-directed and have the ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
• Quality inspection, fine motor skills, excellent measuring to ensure within tight tolerance requirements, ability to see detail using a microscope
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience with quality tools including but not limited to calipers and micrometers
• Quick learner, organized, and has attention to detail
• Basic Microsoft Office experience is necessary
• High School Diploma or GED and be able to pass a national background check
• A minimum of one year of work experience is required
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 20 pounds
