Work Environment: 100% Onsite Term: Permanent / Fulltime Bachelor’s degree required: No Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join the firm who is a team player but can work independently. This person should have an outgoing personality and positive “can do” attitude, has to be able to handle work from multiple attorneys at the same time. Someone who has a strong work ethic and takes the initiative to move from task to task proactively instead of waiting for instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards is of the utmost importance. Predictable attendance is mandatory. Responsibilities Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents Communicate with attorneys, clients, witnesses and court staff Help manage, organize and maintain paper and electronic files Schedule meetings, depositions, Zoom, Teams Maintain attorney calendars Maintain firm calendar Maintain conference room calendar Manage conference room meetings, mediations, depositions Handle attorney travel arrangements CARET/time entries Create presentations for CLEs Aid with preparations and organization of hearings and trials Draft/request subpoenas E-filing (State and Federal), PACER Westlaw research Process of service for Orders/Rules, 1313 Service In-person filing with Louisiana courts Walk-through court process Appropriate service of documents Assist with arranging firm parties and luncheons Receipt and review of ALL Sheriff services Answering phones #J-18808-Ljbffr AMS-Staffing-Inc
