Human Resources Manager ON SITE - Sacramento California
$85,000 - $100,000 DOE
This role oversees a team to support assigned business units or regions by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives, while building and maintaining influential relationships. They are a strategic partner to leaders and an advocate for employees. This role drives strategic performance management activities, empowers the HR team to resolve employee relations issues, and helps create and foster understanding and adherence to human resources policies and procedures. Duties Manages, develops, and mentors a small team that is supporting assigned business units or regions by promoting, communicating, and implementing human resources strategies and initiatives, while building and maintaining influential relationships. Consultative human resource partner, providing value added support and guidance to employees and all levels of management. Partners with leaders to develop and implement proactive strategies to strengthen culture, productivity, and engagement within the workforce. Partner with HR teams (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organization Development, Operations) to support the design and deployment of programs as well as be a change advocate to help drive these initiatives into the business. Lead and serve on cross functional project teams to design and execute multiple targeted HR initiatives to support business objectives. Coaches senior leadership regarding overall organizational talent management including talent assessment, performance management and employee development to meet the strategic needs of the business. Analyzes various sources of data (exit interview, turnover, engagement, diversity) to proactively identify trends and develop strategies with senior leaders to address findings. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures and workforce planning to support the strategic objectives of the business. Acts as contact for employees and all levels of management for questions regarding ethics and compliance. Qualifications Education & Industry Experience A minimum of four (4) years Human Resource experience A minimum of two years of labor relations experience including resolution of complex employee relation issues, grievance handling, etc. preferred. Two years of experience developing and implementing successful HR strategies. Strongly Preferred, experience providing HR leadership role for multiple sites. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment law Education HS Diploma or GED. BA, HR Management Certification, preferred. Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR), preferred.
