divh2CT TECH/h2pThe CT Technologist performs the computed tomography examination to produce images of various anatomical parts and systems for diagnostic purposes as directed by the radiologist./ppEssential Job Functions/pulliRegular, consistent, on-site, and timely attendance./liliCollect pertinent data about the patient and procedure./liliProvide information to the patient about the procedure./liliAnalyze the information during assessment phase and determines optimal imaging parameters per diagnosis./liliAdminister contrast agents according to established guidelines./liliObtain optimum images during scan./liliDocument information about patient care, exam, and patient history in appropriate record./liliFacilitate correspondence with all departments to assure procedures are done in a timely manner./liliMaintain equipment workstation in optimum condition./liliImplement downtime procedures when necessary./liliCognitive ability to function and concentrate on the essential and specialty functions of the job at a high level./liliAchieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing an essential or specialty function of the job./liliAbility to think and concentrate for an entire shift./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliCompletion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT./li/ululliStrong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliSix (6) months experience as a CT Tech within the past 2 years or 6 months experience as a Staff Technologist./liliCompletion of advanced level exam in CT with RT(CT) credentialing./li/ulpLicense, Certification Clearances/pulliCurrent Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)./liliAdvanced-level CT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in computed tomography by June 30, 2018. After June 30, 2018, newly hired or cross trained CT technologists must obtain advanced level CT certification within 12 months of hire date./liliCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program./liliAct 33 with renewal./liliAct 34 with renewal./liliAct 73 FBI Clearance with renewal./li/ulpSupervisory Responsibilities/pulliThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department./li/ulpPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work/pulliRegular, consistent, on-site and timely attendance./liliIncumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on-call, etc.)./liliTravel may be expected locally between Excela Health locations./li/ulpLEAN/pulliActively promotes a Lean work culture by performing team member duties to encourage consistent use of LEAN principles and processes, including continually seeking work process improvements.
