Saw Operator with Overhead Crane Experience

divh2Saw Operator/h2pOur client in Madison Heights, MI is seeking a dependable and hardworking Saw Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate is responsible for safely and efficiently cutting and packaging tube products./ppKey Responsibilities:/polliSet up and operate either saw at rated production levels/liliCut and deburr tube to ensure correct lengths, quality cuts, and proper packaging per order specifications/liliTack weld the ends of round tube bundles prior to cutting/liliLoad long lengths using an overhead crane and remove cut lengths with a forklift as necessary/liliCut, remove, replace, and crimp steel banding as required/liliAccurately read and use micrometers, vernier calipers, radius gauges, and measuring tape/liliRead and interpret cutting orders/liliComplete all required saw paperwork accurately/liliCommunicate and coordinate effectively with: Shipping, Material Handling, Maintenance/liliAssist with and develop saw procedures for all tube sizes/liliChange saw blades and track blade life as needed/liliAssist with saw maintenance as directed/liliPerform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient work environment/liliFollow all written and verbal procedures/liliPerform other duties as assigned/li/olpTechnical Skills:/pulliAbility to safely set up and operate industrial saw equipment/liliExperience cutting and deburring steel tube or similar materials/liliAbility to operate an overhead crane and forklift safely/liliProficiency using precision measuring instruments, including: Micrometers, Vernier calipers, Radius gauges, Measuring tape/liliAbility to read and interpret cutting orders and production documents/liliAbility to complete production paperwork accurately/liliBasic mechanical aptitude (blade changes, minor maintenance support)/li/ulpPay: $23 an hour Shift: 1st shift/ppAbout Cardinal Staffing:/ppAt Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
