MARS Solutions Group is looking for a Claims Assistant . Our client is a leading state/government agency looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.

Interview Process: 1 In-Person Interview, potentially 2 rounds.

Note: 100% onsite. Must be a WI Resident. No relocation is allowed.

Top Skills & Years of Experience: 2+ years required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new database systems quickly. (2+ years)
• Worker's compensation, legal office, or administrative support experience. (2+ years)

Project details:

The Claims Administrative Assistant ensures that claims and records requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner by managing the administrative workflow. This role involves setting up new claim files, updating records in the database, sorting incoming mail (including faxes and emails), and assisting with the preparation of reports. They often handle, organize, and scan claim-related documentation and video data to maintain accurate records.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare case files and conduct related legal research, monitoring administrative meetings and deliberations and reports.
• Assist with mail intake and task assignments
• Summarize claim files, legal issues and defenses; investigate, collect and organize facts in connection with hearing preparation and litigation.
• Draft filings assist in responding to interrogatories.
• Assist in public records request
• Prepare drafts of affidavits, pleadings, motions and related correspondence and memoranda.
• Prepare confidential materials, proposals, reports and contact information.
• Respond to inquiries for records and issue invoices for records provided to third parties; download records from the electronic portal onto our system, maintain filing systems both electronically and physically and assist with record retention schedules while ensuring confidentiality of all materials.
• Serve as the docket clerk for all litigation; maintain spreadsheets relative to litigation activity.
• Prepare and support Vehicle Accident Review Committee (VARC) as back up.
