Job Opportunity: Board-Certified Cardiologist

Our organization is looking for a Board-Certified Cardiologist to take on a leadership role within our dynamic Cardiovascular Service at a prominent medical center located in Hartford, Connecticut. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with specialists in advanced heart failure, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, both invasive and non-invasive cardiology, advanced imaging, structural heart specialists, cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practitioners, and dedicated nursing staff. • Oversee the planning, organization, direction, and management of high-quality Cardiology services at the medical center and its outpatient facilities.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide oversight for inpatient, hospital, and outpatient cardiology programs, including community outreach for care coordination.
• Develop processes, supervise staff, recruit providers, and build relationships with hospital leadership and service lines.
• Ensure compliance with hospital standards, regulatory agency requirements, and maintain adherence to The Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the senior leadership team to focus on expanding service lines within the department, providing visionary leadership that enhances current programs and fosters new initiatives.
• Enjoy a flexible schedule that balances clinical and administrative responsibilities.
• Function as a Cardiologist in your area of expertise within the Heart and Vascular Service, with clinical opportunities in non-invasive cardiology, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure for both inpatient and outpatient settings, tailored to your preferences.
• Conduct consultations, perform testing, and provide care in both outpatient and hospital environments.
• Optionally hold an academic appointment at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine or the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

• Proven experience in leadership roles within clinical Cardiology/Cardiovascular/Heart and Vascular Care.
• Interest in all facets of cardiac care and rehabilitation, as well as teaching fellows, with potential academic affiliation at UCONN and/or Quinnipiac.
• Desire for a blend of clinical and administrative duties.
• Preference for a Non-Invasive General Cardiologist with leadership experience.
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in Connecticut.
• Completed residency training accredited by the ACGME in the United States.
