Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for individual patients or an assigned patient group in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
• Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines using critical thinking and independent professional judgment
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and care coordination (required)
• Respond to and manage acute, emergent, and high-acuity patient presentations in a fast-paced ER environment

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification: Required
• EPIC EMR experience : Required
• Holiday time-off requests are not approved for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
