Together, over 6,500 dedicated professionals will deliver over 1 billion gallons of propane from 1,800+ distribution points across the United States. \n \n \nApplications for this position will be accepted until 10/08/2026. \n \n Posting \n \n \nJob Summary (Purpose):\n \n \nThe Production Worker primarily works in the outside production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. The employee is responsible for the processing of cylinders (20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders).\n \n \nKey Characteristics:\n \n \n Models a commitment to safety through his/her own day-to-day behavior; follows company safety procedures and policies \n Demonstrates high professional and personal standards; has a commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement \n Ability to function effectively as a member of a production team \n \n \n \nDuties and Responsibilities:\n \n \n Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty cylinders. \n Maintain a safety focus at all times and wear the proper PPE \n Ensure the consistent quality of cylinders are being processed \n Load filled cylinders onto the truck(s) for the next day's shipments. \n Ability to stand and walk 8 - 12 hours per day. \n Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. \n Perform general housekeeping duties. \n \n \n \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n \n \n Ability to follow processes, procedures, and instructions \n Ability to function effectively as a member of a production team \n Willingness to grow and learn \n Basic mechanical aptitude \n Basic computer knowledge \n Work in a fast-paced environment \n Be able to stand 8-10 hours per day \n Ability to obtain required state licensing \n Ability to be forklift certified \n \n \n \nEducation and Experience Required:\n \n \n 1 - 2 years work experience in manufacturing is preferred \n High School Diploma or GED \n \n \n \nWorking conditions:\n \n \n Environmental conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow may affect this job, as the production area where the employee spends most of the workday is not enclosed. \n \n \n \nPay: \n \n \n 17.50/hour \n \n \n \nAmeriGas Propane, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position. \n \n \nThis is the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
