The Boston School of Music Arts, a well established area music school with two locations,  is hiring Voice Instructors with Voice and beginning Piano teaching experience. Experience with guitar (to accompany  singers) helpful.

A college degree in music is NOT required, although preferred. Some of our best teachers have been people who have 3+ years of teaching experience, are experienced performers, great with children, and have an outgoing personality.

We are one of Boston's largest music schools with a few hundred students  taking lessons weekly, and we offer top pay, training, take care of all administration, payments and marketing, and more. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Voice/Piano Faculty member to join our team! The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching students ages 4 and up, and Adults, and can help to provide a great musical foundation. This is an in-school (not in-home or online-only) position.

The successful candidate will be a W2 employee, not an independent contractor.  

Responsibilities: 

• Help us Inspire new singers and pianists at our school
• Prepare students for community performances and school performances
• Teach small groups and bands (regular group pay rate  -  higher)

Qualifications : 

• A fun, upbeat personality.
• Responsible.
• 1+ years' experience teaching singing and piano to ages 5 to Adult.
• Solid  performance skills
• Additional instrument - a plus (Guitar, Bass)
• Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education or related field preferred
• Ability to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging music learning experience in 1-on-1
• Comfortable leading small groups/bands, classroom management skills
• Must pass background test, including CORI, showing suitability to teach children
• Can work independently, and follow program direction at times.
