Performs quality related inspection, record keeping, testing, analysis and reporting activities to ensure AA&D products meet customer specifications and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Provides support in maintaining the Quality Management System. Essential Job Functions Performs inspections with the use of gauge blocks, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc. Operates technical inspection equipment (i.e. Faro arm, Instron, etc.) and generates formal inspection reports Creates and maintains records for handling nonconforming product and materials Performs inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure conformance to acceptance criteria Supports effort to maintain Quality Management System (ISO 9000 and AS9100) by: o Collects, organizes and presents quality data Supports programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement effort Works on various assigned quality projects Additional Functions Other duties as assigned Knowledge Of, Skill And/or Ability To Demonstrated proficiency in EXCEL Familiar with statistical methods/SPC Manage job stress and interact effectively with others Demonstrate leadership skills Utilize strong organizational skills Perform detail-oriented functions Prioritize work and meet deadlines Function independently as well as part of a team Basic skills to utilize MS Office Suite applications and navigate through a local area computer network Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing Continue education and attend quality training Bachelor’s degree or minimum four years’ work experience in related field Reporting Dotted line report to Shift Supervisor for daily product inspection priorities Works directly with other employees in a team environment Works with engineering, management and production crew for problem solving and production improvements Why Join Applied Aerospace? 4/10 Schedule – Three-day weekends every week Competitive Compensation Bonus Eligible Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage 401(k) Program Paid Time Off Career Growth in a High-Tech Aerospace Environment Work Where Others Vacation – Columbia River Gorge Lifestyle Additional Information This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
