Electronics Technician

Electronics TechnicianLutron has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Electronics Technician at our office location in Boston, MA.Electronics Technicians work in a hands-on environment as members of cross-functional engineering teams – supporting the development of new products. They work closely with some of the best engineers in the industry and can be involved in the product development process from initial concept through the development, testing, manufacturing, and support phases.ResponsibilitiesConduct extensive design verification and testing of both analog and digital circuits utilizing the fundamentals of electronics, electricity, and basic wiringProduct testing, including user interfaces and communication protocolsHardware prototyping, soldering, troubleshooting circuit blocksSetting up and performing product qualification testing in a laboratory settingDeveloping test automation scripts for lab instrumentsAssisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturingCoaching or mentoring other techniciansQualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree in Electronics Technology, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, or related requiredMinimum cumulative 3.0 GPA requiredMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with electronics including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), function generators, and other related equipment preferredProficiency in soldering and reworking SMT and through-hole circuits preferredExperience or knowledge of Python preferredStarting pay: $60,000/yr to $73,000/yr plus overtime and bonus.
