Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a CNC Machinist, where you will operate industrial machining equipment to manufacture multi-ton steel rolls. This is a hands-on, production-focused role in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling lathes, grinding machines, roughing, and plugging operations.
• Safely set up and run machines while monitoring part quality.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to maintain quality standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Strong math skills related to measurements and tolerances.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Prior experience operating manufacturing or industrial machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines or any type of lathe is preferred.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley controls is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of G-code.
• Experience working with very tight tolerances.

Work Environment
This role is within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, characterized by large machinery and the machining of multi-ton steel rolls. The facility is loud and physically demanding, requiring strict adherence to safety procedures. Employees must be comfortable standing for long periods, working around large equipment, and wearing required PPE. Shifts rotate weekly and overtime is regularly required, including Saturdays, to meet production demands.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00/hr.
