Payer Contracting Services Specialist, Temp

Position Overview Modio Health is seeking a Payer Contracting Support Specialist to join our Extended Credentialing Services (XCS) team. The role is part‑time (20 hours per week) and temporary, reporting to the Manager I, Client Services. Responsibilities Submit contract requests and/or contracting applications to secure network participation with commercial and MCO payers. Follow up with payers on the status of requests and submit required supporting documentation. Engage clients as needed to obtain missing documentation and provide regular updates on the contracting process. Continue outreach to payers until the contracting process is complete and an effective date is documented. Document all interactions consistently throughout the payer contracting process. Initiate and maintain payer contracting tracking in the OneView system. Maintain professional communication (verbal and written) with internal and external customers. Provide clients with regular updates to keep them informed of progress. Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, or a demonstrated understanding of the payer contracting life cycle. Experience contracting for both commercial and MCO payers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude and professional demeanor in all interactions. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with CAQH, Availity, OnBoard Pro. Sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail. High School Diploma required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare preferred.
