Construction Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Manage construction job costing and project financial tracking
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Maintain and review Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
• Oversee progress billing including AIA billing and retainage tracking
• Monitor project profitability and support financial decision making
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
• Collaborate with project managers to review job costs and budgets
• Establish and maintain internal financial controls

• CPA required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing
• Experience with WIP reporting and progress billing
• Experience with accounting software such as Viewpoint, Procore or similar systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
