Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring strong cardiac ICU background, including advanced cardiac device management, on night shifts.

Job Details

• Work in a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of an acute care hospital,
• Patient population includes cardiac and medical intensive care patients, as well as step-down overflow,
• Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and TVP required,
• Additional clinical skills include ventilator management, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring,
• Patient ratio is 2:1,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30,
• Epic EMR is used; prior Epic experience is required,
• Floating to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs; floating will only occur to units for which competency has been demonstrated,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license required,
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills required,
• Experience with post cardiac surgery care (not direct from OR), pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal required,
• Minimum 1 year of recent CCU, CVICU, or equivalent cardiac ICU experience required,
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required,
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted Prisma Health campus (Prisma Richland) to be eligible for this position,
• Two professional references required for consideration,
• Driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Strong cardiac ICU background is essential due to the complexity of cardiac diagnoses and advanced device management required on this unit,
• Candidates with experience in CVICU or a strong CCU/Cardiopulmonary ICU setting are preferred given the advanced cardiac device requirements,
• Candidates residing between 50-99.9 miles from the facility may be eligible but are subject to a reduced travel pay rate; full travel rate applies at 100+ miles,
• Candidates must meet the 50-mile minimum distance requirement from every Prisma Health facility system-wide to qualify for travel rates
