We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager/Lead Pawnbroker to oversee daily operations and lead our retail team. This pivotal role combines retail management with specialized pawnbroking expertise, requiring a proactive leader who excels in customer service, inventory control, and team development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving sales, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
• Lead and supervise staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure team success.
• Oversee pawn transactions, appraisals, and negotiations with customers to maximize profitability.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations.
• Implement effective merchandising strategies and pricing policies to enhance store appeal and sales.
• Conduct recruiting efforts to attract qualified employees and facilitate onboarding processes.
• Monitor inventory levels, control stock movement, and coordinate purchasing to meet customer demand.
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations related to pawnbroking and retail operations.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally, including phone etiquette and conflict resolution.
• Develop marketing initiatives to promote store offerings and increase foot traffic.
• Manage shift schedules, budgeting, and payroll processing to optimize operational efficiency.

Experience

• Proven management experience in retail settings, preferably within pawnshops or similar financial services environments.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with a track record of leading successful teams.
• Strong background in negotiation, sales management, and customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems, POS technology, and retail math principles.
• Experience in recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation programs.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, payroll processing, budgeting, and cash handling procedures.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with effective communication capabilities.
• Prior assistant manager or supervisory roles in retail or financial services are highly desirable. Presently we are blessed owners of one store in Houston’s downtown / EaDo area on the Green Metro Rail line (Altic/Howard Hughes stop) that are dedicated to cleanliness, energy, and professionalism. Over the short years we have had the opportunity to gradually renovate our space, with the mindset of making it a fantastic workplace for not only our customers but also our employees.

Operations

We specialize in cash loans on jewelry, diamonds, gold, platinum, silver, designer jewelry from all brands, electronics, watches, musical instruments, power tools, and all other valuables. We understand that obstacles and low points in our lives can cause unbearable stress and desperation. Therefore, our sales and lending associates strive to provide financial relief for our customers and give hope for tomorrow. We believe that to fulfill that purpose, we must build a strong relationship between our employees, customers, and community by encouraging a level of transparency and diligence. In order to do so, our team is trained to help the client understand the transaction process, explain any misconceptions, and answer questions or concerns that they may have.

Such transparency holds us accountable and keeps clients educated and engaged with us if there are any questions or concerns. To stay competitive, we adopt principles and practices that embrace the constantly changing market. We are constantly learning and use the best technology which allows us to better serve our customers.

Our finance team coupled with the audit team helped us run a tight ship, have strong cash flow and profitability. We offer loans of $5 - $1,800

Salary: $13.00-$30.00 Manager / Assistant Managers Receive Profit Sharing Commission Bonus Structure.
