Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) specialty in Torrance, California, is currently seeking qualified travel nurses for an upcoming assignment starting on June 29, 2026. This position involves working in an acute care hospital setting, providing specialized surgical patient care. Candidates must have a valid state license and are required to bring their license on the first day of shift. The role includes working an 8-hour shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Torrance, California
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with at least 40 hours per week; includes 1 Saturday shift every 6 weeks and 2-3 on-call shifts every 6 weeks
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license, active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, minimum 1 year experience in operating room settings, and Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
• Certifications: BCLS
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in operating room surgical procedures, including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, thyroidectomy, and urological robotic surgery among others
• Additional Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination, Flu vaccination, and willingness to work on holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); must have worked at a Providence facility previously or have comparable experience; LA fire card within the last 30 days; two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years; and be willing to float between facilities within the state as required.
• Travel and Scheduling: Possible float to different units including San Pedro, with adherence to the mileage radius rule (under 50 miles considered local).
• Additional Information: Candidates must be able to commit to working three of the five major holidays and respond to the submission questions regarding previous employment at Providence facilities, vaccination status, and references.
