Systems Administrator Intermediate - TS/SCI required

Job Description Systems Administrator Intermediate – TS/SCI required. Support the Army Intelligence mission by securing enterprise systems, advancing future capabilities, and driving smarter solutions. Responsibilities Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages, scheduling them while maintaining compliance with IT policies. Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve complex hardware and software issues, working closely with team members and agency customers. Monitor and tune system performance, ensure data recoverability through managed backup and archive processes, and develop standard operating procedures. Conduct routine hardware and software audits, manage IT infrastructure, and maintain a comprehensive configuration database. Administer desktop and server systems connected to local and wide‑area networks, including account monitoring, security updates, and OS installations. Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support, diagnosing and resolving issues while escalating complex cases. Configure and manage operating systems (UNIX and Windows) and install and maintain application software. Enhance OS performance and reliability through upgrades and configuration optimization. Resolve hardware problems and dispatch deployments, actively addressing major issues. Integrate new technologies into existing systems, handling transitions and migrations efficiently. Required Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree. Experience: 7+ years of related experience. Security clearance: TS/SCI required; ability to obtain TS/SCI + Polygraph. US citizenship required. Certifications: DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II/8140 CE certification (prior to support). Security+ or equivalent. MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or equivalent; must obtain full AZ104 certification within 180 days. Technical Skills: Advanced troubleshooting for IT systems and infrastructure. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and customers regarding escalated tickets. Comprehensive knowledge of managing IT infrastructure components, operating systems, and application software. Physical Requirements: Daily on‑site support at customer location. Willingness and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph for specific positions. Ability to lift hardware, reach, bend, or kneel to plug in cables. Travel 10‑25% as needed.
