ICU Lead Dietitian

Location : Morrison Healthcare at Harbor UCLA
Setting : acute care
Schedule : Monday-Friday; weekend rotation- once every 6 weeks
Requirement : RD Credential, CNSC within 6 months of hire
Position Details : Join our team of 14 dietitians committed to delivering evidence-based nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will provide inpatient nutrition care within a large teaching hospital of 350 beds. You will have 50% patient care in an ICU setting and 50% management/administrative tasks. Clinical responsibilities include conducting detailed nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized nutrition support plans, and managing specialized feeding regimens such as parenteral and enteral nutrition. Management responsibilities include tracking productivity logs, performing chart audits and observations of dietitians, adjusting coverage schedule, and being a resource for clinical questions. CNSC required within 6 months of hire. 
Salary : $90,000-$110,000

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Advanced Practice Dietitian to provide evidence-based nutrition care, serve as a clinical leader within the healthcare team, and promote positive patient outcomes through innovation and expertise.

What You’ll Do:
• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to and lead QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of clinical and departmental staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For:
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with five years of experience
• Master’s degree in nutrition 
• Advanced Practice Certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Healthcare experience preferred
