BATAVIA LOCAL SCHOOLS – Mechanic – 2023/2024 School Year Reports To Director of Transportation Background Checks BCI & FBI background checks required Minimum Responsibilities Performing all Preventative Maintenance on school bus fleet, consisting of diesel and gasoline school buses with air brakes Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision using diagnostic computers Complete needed repairs and parts replacements with documentation of completed work Assist with driving duties if needed Essential Qualifications 2 years experience preferred in vehicle maintenance and/or repair High school diploma or equivalent required Must possess, or be willing to obtain a class B CDL license with school bus and passenger endorsements Must be able to pass criminal background checks, BMV check, DOT Drug Test, and physical Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
