Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic Location: 9963 Diffley Court Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077 Job Overview Are you energetic, upbeat, and passionate about fixing things right the first time? We are looking for a General Service Technician / Mechanic who brings a positive attitude and a solution‑oriented mindset to our team. Key Responsibilities Routine Maintenance: Perform all general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments. Diagnostics & Inspection: Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections. Work closely with the service department to communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions. Team Collaboration: Work alongside a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively. Regulatory Compliance: Perform state‑mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA right‑to‑know and hazardous waste disposal). Shop Excellence: Maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping functions as directed by management. Qualifications A positive, energetic attitude and a strong work ethic. Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow. Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the service team. Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Valid driver’s license (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required). Physical Requirements Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds. Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head. Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair. Have the needed dexterity to efficiently use hand‑tools. Walk/stand for the majority of the workday.
