Maintenance Technician (MA & NH)

Job Description

Job Description

If you are the kind of person who sees a maintenance problem and immediately starts figuring out the best way to fix it, this role is built for you. You are hands-on, practical, and comfortable working independently, but you also know when an issue requires additional support or a licensed trade. You take pride in doing repairs correctly, keeping your work area organized, and following through until the job is complete. We are looking for someone dependable, safety-minded, and resourceful - someone who can handle different types of property issues, make sound decisions in the field, and keep work orders moving toward resolution.

As our Maintenance Technician, you will provide hands-on maintenance support across our portfolio of residential properties in Massachusetts (MA) and New Hampshire (NH). You will diagnose and complete common repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, fixtures, locks, appliances, and general building needs within your authorized scope. You will also support unit turns, preventive maintenance, and property inspections. This role requires initiative, practical troubleshooting, and dependable follow-through from initial assessment through repair, testing, documentation, and closeout.

• Previous hands-on maintenance or general construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience in multifamily housing, residential properties, facilities, construction, or a related environment preferred
• Working knowledge of common residential repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, fixtures, locks, and appliances
• Ability to safely and correctly use common hand and power tools
• Strong initiative and practical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned repairs
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and adapt as property needs change
• Strong focus on repair quality, safety, cleanliness, and accurate documentation
• Professional communication with residents, Property Managers, vendors, and team members
• Ability to recognize when specialized or licensed support is required and escalate appropriately
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to travel between residential properties throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire

Simplified Real Estate brings together our real estate businesses, including Candor and Simplified Management, with teams working across investments, brokerage, property management, operations, construction, and related functions. We are building an organization where strong execution, ownership, and sound judgment matter. This role works directly with the Founder and creates leverage across both professional and personal priorities by keeping commitments organized, relationships active, logistics accurate, and important details moving forward. You will have the opportunity to learn the businesses, understand the people and priorities behind them, and become increasingly trusted to manage more independently as familiarity and confidence grow.

If you have hands-on maintenance or construction experience and take pride in solving problems the right way, we want to hear from you. Apply if you are dependable, resourceful, comfortable working independently, and ready to take ownership of repairs from start to finish. Show us how you use practical judgment, strong follow-through, and attention to quality to keep properties operating at their best.
