RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 8-week assignment duration
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama license
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Must demonstrate strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Required to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management
• Must be proficient in oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation
