About The Opportunity The Center for Technological Responsibility, Reimagination, and Redesign (CNTR) reimagines how to design, build and govern technology in ways that put people first. The mission of the CNTR is to redefine computer science education, research, and technology to center the needs, problems, and aspirations of all – and especially those that technology has left behind. The CNTR conducts research, develops frameworks, builds solutions, advises society, and fosters community. Responsibilities The CNTR Communications and Events Coordinator will manage all aspects of internal and external communications, including social media, newsletters, and website content. They will also manage events of various sizes including seminars and lectures, workshops, and recruiting/information sessions for students. This position will provide event planning and operational support for the CNTR by working collaboratively and independently with faculty, staff, students, industry partners, and other campus departments. This is a one-year, fixed-term position with potential for extension based on budget and University need. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and education. Previous experience in a role that supports communications, development, community and industry outreach, and events/special programming. Previous experience within an academic environment is preferred.
