Commercial Construction Estimator

$125,000-$150,000 Base Salary + Aggressive Commissions & Bonuses

A well-established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join their team. The company has a diverse portfolio of commercial projects, a respected team, and a strong reputation for delivering quality work while building long-term client relationships.


The ideal candidate will have solid commercial estimating experience with the ability to develop accurate estimates, manage the bidding process, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.


Experience with building envelope projects , including roofing, waterproofing, masonry restoration, façade restoration, or similar work, is a plus but not required .

Commercial Construction Estimator Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid estimates for commercial construction projects
  
  
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  
  
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier bids
  
  
• Develop detailed estimates, scopes, and bid proposals
  
  
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost impacts
  
  
• Work closely with project management and operations teams during project turnover
  
  
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and industry partners
  
  
• Stay current on market conditions, material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing
  
  
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities when appropriate
  
  

Commercial Construction Estimator Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
  
  
• Experience estimating for a commercial general contractor strongly preferred
  
  
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes, and building processes
  
  
• Proficiency with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office
  
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  
  
• Building envelope experience is a plus, but not required
