Family Services Technician

The Orange County Department of Education's (OCDE) Family Support Services (FSS) program provides subsidized child care payments to eligible families throughout Orange County. By partnering with a variety of providersincluding family day care homes, licensed-exempt providers, center-based programs, school districts, and sectarian care facilitiesour program ensures families have access to the child care they need to thrive. As a Family Services Technician, you will play a key role in guiding families through the eligibility and enrollment process. This position offers the opportunity to perform meaningful, detailed work, including explaining program requirements, conducting interviews, and supporting families in accessing vital services. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, and assisting families in navigating the re-certification process. With a focus on organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping others, you'll be part of a team that transforms lives every day.

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Graduation from high school or high school equivalency test. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible program administrative support experience.
