Marketing Account Manager
$27 - $31 per hourEastman Supply Co
We’re a creative agency based in the South Bay, working with a thoughtful roster of clients across the design industry, lifestyle, and brand. What sets us apart isn’t that we manage social. It’s that we think about our clients holistically — their social presence, their press, their website, their launches, their brand identity, and how all of those pieces work together. We’re small, we’re growing, and we care deeply about the people we work with, both clients and team.
THE ROLE — WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS
Let’s be direct about something upfront: this is not a social media management job. Yes, social is a huge part of what our Account Managers do — you need real experience managing brand social media accounts to succeed here. But social is one piece of a much bigger picture. Our AMs are responsible for the entire client experience: understanding their business goals, staying on top of their launches, keeping their website in mind, tracking their press moments, and making sure everything ties together into a coherent brand presence. This role also carries real operational responsibility — keeping deadlines held, projects moving, and client work on track. If you’re only interested in strategy or only interested in execution, this isn’t the right fit. The AM sits in the middle of both. If you only want to make content calendars and reply to comments, this isn’t the job. If you want to genuinely know a client’s business — obsess over every touchpoint, spot opportunities they haven’t seen yet, hold every deadline, and be the person who ties it all together — keep reading. Our AMs are marketers who happen to lead with social. Not social media managers who occasionally touch other things.WHAT YOU’LL OWN
End-to-end client relationships — 3 to 4 accounts you own top-to-bottom. Strategic conversations, weekly and monthly check-ins, scope discussions, performance reviews, relationship health. Holistic marketing awareness — knowing what’s happening across each client’s business: social, press, website, launches, campaigns, seasonal moments. You are the person who connects the dots. Deadline ownership — you are the person who ensures every deliverable is on track, every timeline is being followed up on, and nothing slips through the cracks. This is operational, unglamorous, and non-negotiable. Project management — tracking timelines across your accounts, chasing approvals from clients and vendors, keeping content creators and editors on schedule, and holding the line on delivery dates. Proactive communication — status updates go out before they’re asked for. Performance shifts are surfaced before they appear in a report. Silence is not a sign things are fine — it’s a sign you haven’t reached out yet. Full ownership of scope delivery — every commitment in each client’s SOW is being met every month. If something is at risk, you are the one solving it. Social media strategy execution — translating brand strategy into content pillars, calendars, and platform-level decisions. Working with our Head of Social to keep everything aligned. Content oversight — briefing content creators, reviewing their output, holding the bar on brand voice and quality before anything goes to a client. KPI accountability — tracking each client’s defined metrics, owning the outcome, diagnosing misses, and bringing forward corrective plans. Monthly client reports — written with real insights and recommendations, not summaries.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE — FIRST 90 DAYS
Your clients feel taken care of. Every deadline is being followed up on. Every aspect of every scope of work is being checked and actioned. Projects move without needing to be chased. When you’ve been in the role 90 days, the founder and Head of Social should be able to trust that your accounts are running — not because they’re checking, but because you’re on it. Deadlines should stop feeling like a leadership problem and start feeling like a solved one.WHO YOU ARE
You have 2–4 years of experience managing brand social media accounts — ideally in an agency setting, but strong in-house experience counts too. You think like a marketer, not just a social media manager. You care about the brand as a whole, not just the feed. You are detail-obsessed. You cannot help yourself. Details are how you show care. You love a deadline. Timelines, project trackers, and delivery dates energize you — they don’t exhaust you. You’re proactive to a fault. You surface things before they become issues. You reach out to clients before they reach out to you. You communicate clearly and warmly — both with clients and internally. You can hold multiple client contexts in your head at once without confusing them. You take feedback well and give it clearly. You want to grow, and you want to help others grow too. You’re based in or near the South Bay and can come into the studio when needed.NICE TO HAVE
Experience across multiple marketing disciplines (press, email, website, paid, etc.). Project management experience or exposure (formal or informal). Familiarity with tools like Later, Metricool, Basecamp, Notion, Canva, Google Workspace. Background in lifestyle, hospitality, or brand-forward client work. Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.WHAT WE OFFER
$27–$31 per hour, based on experience, with an annual pay review at 12 months W-2 employment with path to full-time within 90 days Hybrid setup with flexibility A small, supportive team that cares about the work and each other Genuine room to grow — this is a role we’re investing in long‑term Clients who are creative, thoughtful, and appreciate great workHOW TO APPLY
