Role Description This full-time Critical Care Paramedic role is an on-site position based in Lake Bluff, IL. The Paramedic is responsible for assessing patients, providing pre-hospital emergency medical care, and safely transporting individuals as authorized by the Emergency Medical Services System. Day-to-day tasks include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, performing patient assessments, administering medications and treatments within scope of practice, and documenting all care provided. The Paramedic will operate and maintain ambulance equipment, collaborate with EMTs and other healthcare professionals, and communicate effectively with dispatch, receiving facilities, and patient families. The role also involves following all clinical protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines while participating in ongoing training and quality improvement activities. Qualifications Current state Paramedic certification/licensure and eligibility to practice under the Emergency Medical Services System. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, emergency medical treatment, and safe transport in both emergency and non-emergency settings. Ability to operate ambulance vehicles and medical equipment safely, with strong situational awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Effective communication and teamwork skills for interacting with patients, families, dispatch, and healthcare professionals. Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities, including accurate charting and reporting in accordance with EMS regulations. Commitment to professional conduct, cultural sensitivity, and non-discriminatory patient care in diverse communities. Physical capability to perform lifting, moving, and continuous standing in a fast-paced environment, with or without reasonable accommodation. CPR, ACLS, and other relevant emergency care certifications preferred or required per local regulations. Previous field experience in EMS or related healthcare settings is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
