This is a highly visible seat: you'll be the financial partner senior and operational leaders lean on to understand performance, pressure-test decisions, and plan what's next — with a particular focus on the financial health of grant-funded programs.If you want analysis that actually changes decisions, at an organization where those decisions affect access to services, this is a strong fit.What you'll doCoordinate and contribute to the annual budget and quarterly forecasts alongside a team of financial analystsAnalyze revenue and expense, balance sheet, and cash flow statements at the operating-unit and organization levelIdentify trends, opportunities, and improvement areas through analysis and modelingBuild and analyze pre-award grant budgets, and review budget-to-actual results with program stakeholders, fund development, and grants managementTranslate results into narratives, visualizations, and conversations that land with senior leadersPrepare ad hoc financial models pulling data from a variety of disparate systemsOwn the financial reporting components of annual regulatory reports to state and federal agenciesAdminister the FP&A system and its related internal controls, and support a new system implementation — including stakeholder adoptionHelp build out treasury management within the FP&A function and support the annual risk management policy renewalWhat you'll bringRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 4–6 years of financial analysis and budgeting experience and 2+ years working with NFP or government contracts is desired — or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong command of GAAP, management accounting, and financial analysis; working knowledge of financial planning systemsAdvanced MS Excel — complex formulas, pivots, and lookups — with real fluency pulling and reconciling data from systems that don't talk to each otherHands-on financial modeling experience: building models from scratch, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and driver-based forecastingPower BI experience for building reports and dashboards that non-finance stakeholders can actually useThe ability to define a problem, gather the data, establish the facts, and land on a defensible conclusion — then build an action plan around itClear writing and confident presentation skills; you can hold your own in front of executives and boardsNice to haveMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an analytical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science2+ years in a structured program such as public accounting (audit or consulting)Nonprofit and/or healthcare industry experienceCPA, CFA, or CGMABenefits and perksMedical, dental, and vision for employees and their familiesHSA and FSA plansLife insurance, AD&D, and disability coverageRetirement plan with employer matchGenerous PTO accrual, 8 holidays plus 3 floating holidays, and extended illness time awayCompassion time away, and an extended time-off program of up to 8 weeks for staff to invest in themselvesEmployee assistance and wellness programsVoluntary discounted plans (critical illness, accident, identity theft, pet insurance)Development and growth opportunitiesSumBridge and our client are equal opportunity employers.
