Sr Structural Engineer PE - Municipal/Industrial Water/ Waste Water

POSITION : Senior Structural Engineer (Municipal, Wastewater, and Industrial Water Projects) LOCATION : United States (hybrid work arrangement; travel within U.S. may be required) Role Description Our Arcadis Structural Team seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with expertise in municipal, wastewater, and industrial water projects. The role serves as a subject‑matter expert, providing technical leadership, guiding project teams, collaborating directly with clients, and contributing to business development in the region. Key Accountabilities Organize and conduct structural‑related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work with well‑defined scope. Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, RFPs, and other contract documents. Work directly with engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle; coordinate meetings, client presentations, and write reports. Exercise judgment on work details, preliminary selections, and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Manage production of engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates. Function as Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects to manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, permit checklists, and scopes of work, and facilitate coordination for timely completion. Mentor entry‑level and junior structural engineering staff. Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or construction oversight. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Deep experience leading and mentoring internal teams with strong relationship‑building skills. Functional knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit software. Strong structural analysis and design skills (e.g., Staad Pro, RISA, etc.).
