Job Description We are seeking experienced Pile Drivers in the following areas: Hopewell, VA Baltimore, MD SUMMARY Operates pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as bridges and piers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools; Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning; Cleans, lubricates, and refills equipment; Drives pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head; Moves hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings; Moves levers and turns valves to activate power hammers, or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive pile to required depths. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Experience in marine pile driving operations including Concrete pile, H-pile, and Pipe pile. LANGUAGE SKILLS Understand English MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, read rule, calculate measurements. Ability to apply concepts of geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations. Expected base hourly range Expected base hourly range for this position is: $26.00 -$32.00 This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
