Responsibilities:

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
• Track children's progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Qualifications :

• Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
• CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education

Compensation: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour


Storybooks will be Corpus Christi's first private campus with a year-round program that has an inspired home-based setting. The children will learn to "love to learn," play and socialize. Our Montessori environment program will offer a comprehensive curriculum that helps prepare children for all their future walks in life. Storybooks School has set the stage for daily joyful care and an extraordinary educational experience not yet experienced in our community. A place where children can be children.

Each center is independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the center, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of each center.
