Field Geologist I

The fieldwork will include geotechnical drilling and sampling, visual field reconnaissance, and soil and rock logging. Complete geophysical surveys will consist of performing seismic surveys, earth electrical resistivity surveys, and otherappropriate surveysas directed by a project geophysicist. Observation and documentation of geotechnical construction activities and perform construction material testing/inspection during construction phases. Perform other engineering activities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Bachelors or Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, and Geophysics preferred. High school diplomarequired. Willing to travel and work in various site conditions and project locations throughout the United States. Proficiency with MS Office computer programs. Previousexperience in outdoor/field working/driving conditions is preferred. Previousexperience in Geotechnical drilling/sampling and construction material testing in soil and concrete is preferred. Willing torelocateto RRC's Round Rock, TX Office. Valid driverlicenseand a clean driving record arerequired. Please note that extensive travel (95-100%) throughout the United States will be required. The applicant must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to lead or be part of a project team.
