Contracts Administrator

Contracts Administrator, Senior Location: Pittsburgh (Cheswick). Your Responsibilities: Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of government or commercial contracts. Monitor performance for conformance to original proposal. Analyze estimates of material, equipment and production costs. Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements. Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions. Initiate documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications. Participate in contract negotiations. Your Challenge: Review customer inquiries, contract documents, terms, conditions and correspondence as part of the bid evaluation and proposal process. Coordinate, prepare and write proposals for new contracts and changes to existing agreements, developing pricing strategies to support financial objectives. Participate in negotiation of proposals with existing and prospective clients, including financial and administrative terms and conditions. Administer assigned contracts and changes to ensure compliance with division processes, procedures and contract requirements, as well as corporate and government ethical and legal standards. Evaluate financial, compliance or performance issues associated with assigned contracts and recommend actions to resolve them. Request contract modifications when necessary. Maintain liaison with customers and internal personnel to expedite and coordinate contract activities; provide clear written and verbal communication. Apply problem‑solving skills to resolve issues with customers and internal/project personnel. Complete assigned tasks comprehensively and within specified time‑frames. What You Bring: BS or BA in Business Administration or equivalent. 4–7 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Strong teamwork and multitasking abilities. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Professional presence with people. Good understanding of financial metrics and calculations. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of supply and services contract structures. Understanding of FAR/DFAR terms and conditions. Knowledge of Truth‑in‑Negotiations‑Act (TINA) principles. Experience in customer negotiations and problem solving.
