Title: Graphic Production Artist - Retail Industry Location: Manhattan, NY
Schedule: Hybrid
Contract: 5 months with potential to extend
Pay Range: $32.83 - $40.69 Position Overview

Associate position in a  fast-paced, high-volume, retail-based Creative Services department .

The Graphic Production Artist is a member of the  Production Art team operating within the Creative Services department. This is both a technical and creative role, working closely with and supporting the  Senior Designer and Art Director to build multiple print-ready files.

Responsibilities

• Provide graphic production support to the Senior Graphic Designer and layout production team.
• Perform layout and resizing of marketing collateral.
• Create layouts and incorporate designs into standardized templates.
• Accurately assemble all elements of production design and copy.
• Prepare final files for print production, including pre-flight and exporting.
• Upload files to web-based systems.
• Partner with Traffic, Retouching, and Marketing teams to communicate and manage deliverables.
• Develop, communicate, and maintain best practices for processes and workflows.
• Manage and organize files.
• Perform quality control to ensure adherence to brand standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in  Adobe Creative Suite , primarily:
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Bridge
• Proficiency with  Adobe Acrobat .
• Figma experience needed.
• Ability to translate approved design concepts into multiple sizes and formats while ensuring visual continuity.
• Strong skills in  typography, layout, and graphic design .
• Thorough understanding of the  prepress process , including artwork file preparation for final output.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and quality-focused approach to production and quality control.
• Ability to work confidently in a  fast-paced, high-volume environment .
• Flexible and able to execute last-minute changes accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong team-player mentality and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience with  Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems is a plus.
• Experience with  scripting and automation is a plus.
