Production Supervisor

General Plant Administration Production SupervisorCustom Glass Solutions is seeking a talented individual to join our Production Team! The Production Supervisor will serve as the first line of management responsible for managing the production floor. The selected candidate will report to the Plant Superintendent and serve as a member on the Leadership Team. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who possess the ability to relate to employees at all levels. The Production Supervisor primary responsibility will be to direct and coordinate activities of manufacturing, maintaining workflows by leading team members and observing equipment, identifying cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, all while fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. As unique situations present themselves the successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals and company reputation. The selected candidate will interface with all departments at our Upper Sandusky, OH location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, support departments and other supervisors to assure that safety, quality and productivity are maximized.Ensure that the production areas maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Implements and supports all aspects of 6S.Must be willing to lead, mentor, and coach production team members.Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions and recommending action.Establish and control conditions of production to satisfy customer and quality specifications.Develop and maintain cost-effective alternatives and improvements to the production process.Perform analysis of manufacturing materials and determine optimum control levels.Assess training needs and support employee training, including communication of procedures and work practices to employees in their area of responsibility.Monitor production boards daily and throughout the shift to verify hourly production rates & targets.You will succeed in this position if you:Possess 5+ years manufacturing management experience.Demonstrate the characteristics of a Servant Leadership style: Listening, Empathy, Healing, Awareness, Persuasion, Conceptualization, Foresight, Stewardship, Commitment of growth of people and building community.Demonstrate commitment to professional and ethical standards including sound judgement and strong problem-solving ability.Ability to proactively execute multiple projects, while staying organized and committed to meeting deadlines.Formal certifications in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Accelerated Root Cause or Transactional Lean.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Work extended hours and weekends as needed.Commitment to uphold company culture and values.About the Team:At Custom Glass Solutions, the Production Superintendent provides professional, knowledgeable, efficient and honest service, all while being respectful and building strong team member relationships.
